How Data is Compiled

The National Consumer File has three different types of sources: government records, public records and publicly available data;  self-reported data; and data from other commercial entities where consumers have been provided notice of how their data will be used, and offered a choice about whether or not to allow those uses. This data includes public record and publicly available data from sources such as telephone directories, website directories and postings, real property recorder and assessor files, and government licenses. This list also includes demographic data, surveys and questionnaires, and summarized or aggregated purchase data.

Recommended Usage

The National Consumer File is used by businesses, non-profits, and political organizations in their marketing efforts, fundraising, and outreach programs. This data can be added to customer files to enhance and expand your marketing efforts. With the many propensities available, your specific targeting can really be drilled down and unique to your advertising efforts! Ideal for any business dependent upon customers – online or in person.
